(1) According to rule 16, if there is any error in the name, surname, date of birth, age or other such details of a voter whose name is included in the published voter list, the voter himself or any member of his family should register the birth within the time period mentioned in the program to correct it. Marriage registration, migration and other related proofs should be attached and the application should be submitted to the Assistant Name Registration Officer in the format as per Schedule-7.
(2) If the application as per sub-rule (1) is received, the Assistant Registration Officer will investigate the matter and if it is found necessary to correct such an error during such investigation, he will prepare a revised electoral roll correcting such error in the list published in accordance with Rule 16.
